TOPIC: Speed & Duplex

Speed & Duplex 3 months, 1 week ago #498819

On BOARD LAN ba ito?

First try mo muna go to device manager... uninstall mo yung drivers ng onboard LAN mo . tapos nun pa autodetect mo ang drivers .... dapat balik ang settings ng drivers mo sa default. TEST connection... If pareho parin problema , go to next step below.

Tagal ano .. heheh

are you using Switch o Hub? Magkaiba kasi iyon. There is no such thing as Switch hub, it's either a Switch or a Hub. Kasi pag Switch, you can use full duplex as long as your card supports it and almost all new NICS can support this. Sa Hub, limited ka sa half-duplex.

Think it this way, yung full duplex is similar to a two-way bridge, whereas the half-duplex is a one-way bridge.

things to check:
- Switch or Hub
- NIC and its settings
- cable and its terminations. you would need cat5e or 6 if you're using gigabit
