Want To Know If Computer Needs More Memory?

Here’s how:

1. Press the Ctrl/Alt/Delete keys, Task Manager will popup, select the 'Performance' tab.

2. Look for a box labeled 'Physical Memory (K)'.

Read the 'Total' which is is your installed memory.

3. Next, look for a box named 'Commit Charge (K)'.

Read the total which tells how much memory is currently used. You will also see 'Peak' under the total which tells the highest amount of memory used since the last reboot.

> If the Peak is lower than the 'Physical Memory (K)� total, then you don’t need additional memory.

> If the total 'Commit Charge (K)' is higher than the 'Physical Memory (K) total, then additional memory would give your computer a significant performance boost.

CC=commit charge PM=physical memory

makikita po ito sa windows task manager under sa performance na tab..

so alin sa mga yan ang sinasabi mong mas mataas sa Physical Memory mo? kung tinutukoy mo ay yung Limit, natural, kasi kasama na ang Physical Memory size sa value na yan.

Note: Virtual memory will only be used if your physical memory is not enough. remember that the hardisk is not as fast as your Physical Memory. so hangga't maari, hindi na humantong sa ganun or at least ma-minimize dahil babagal WIndows mo if it has to use virtual memory. so keep an eye on your Total. if your Peak is always less than your Physical Memory, then you have more than enough Physical RAM and your pc is running as fast as it can.

pero kung yung Total ang mas mataas sa Physical Memory, then you have a problem. bawasan mo running apps mo during bootup.

pwedeng tadtad na din Windows mo ng malwares and adwares. scanning with Spybot should solve that problem. normal idle CPU usage should be zero. pitik pitik lang ng konti pero bumabalik pa din sa zero agad. pag 100% constantly, you're most probably infected, that is, IF your CPU is not overheating.

So ibig sabihin pala sobra yung 2GB memory ko?
