Scenario: gusto mo magkaroon ng boot up diskette pero wala ka ng diskette drive.

Solution: make a boot up usb

1) Install these 2 HP/Compaq USB Flash Drive Utilities. They work with many other brands of flash drives as well.

2) Install Virtual Floppy Drive 2.1

chitchat.at.infoseek.co.jp/vmware/vfd.html

3) Create a Virtual Drive A (parang daemon tool ito, magcreate ng virtual drive)

4) Create a boot up disk in your Virtual Drive A

5) Copy over the files from your Drive A to your USB using HP/Compaq tools installed in step 1.

6) You now have a USB boot disk for your troubleshooting pleasure. Remember to adjust the bios setting to boot from USB. Older PCs might not have this bios setting option yet though.

this is useful when setting up SATA hardisks. no need to revert to "compatibility mode". just copy the SATA drivers from the motherboard driver cd to the usb. ^^

i think i'll pin this one. very useful for technicians who wants to get the most out of SATA drives but don't have a floppy drive available. easier than using BartPE, i would think?

@Bien, I'm not familiar with BartPE but when for this, It just took me less than 5 minutes to do after downloading all of the tools.
